Dr. Lisa DeRoché is an executive Human Resources and organizational leadership strategist with more than 25 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations strengthen culture, develop leaders, and build high-performing workplaces. Throughout her career, she has led enterprise-wide initiatives in organizational development, leadership training, employee engagement, performance management, workforce strategy, and organizational transformation. Known for her practical, people-centered approach, Lisa partners with executive teams to align talent strategies with organizational goals while fostering cultures grounded in accountability, trust, and belonging.

Lisa has designed and implemented leadership development academies, mentoring and fellowship programs, succession planning initiatives, and data-driven talent strategies across healthcare, nonprofit, education, and financial services organizations. She has led large-scale policy and process redesigns, organizational change efforts, HR technology implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Her expertise also includes executive coaching, employee relations, organizational design, and developing workplace practices that support employee well-being, engagement, and long-term organizational effectiveness.

A passionate advocate for developing others, Lisa has chaired Employee Resource Groups, served on Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Councils, and created programs that support the professional, financial, emotional, and personal well-being of employees. Her leadership extends beyond the workplace through mentoring emerging HR professionals and supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to empowering women and girls.

Lisa is also an author and storyteller. She is the author of The Grave in My Soul, a deeply personal memoir exploring grief, resilience, healing, and hope, and Angel & Sapphire, a children’s book celebrating love, imagination, and the enduring bonds that connect us across generations. Through her writing, Lisa seeks to inspire meaningful conversations about healing, purpose, and the human experience, complementing the leadership work she has devoted her career to.

She attended the HBCU Virginia State University, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from SUNY Old Westbury, an MBA from Dowling College, and a Ph.D. in Business Management with a specialization in Human Resources from Capella University.
